Entrepreneurship & Startup in India

Entrepreneurship and Start-up rank in India.

“For any nation to emerge as a developed economy, it is important for that nation to focus on research and innovation which helps them in designing and developing new products.” As of 2020, India has been ranked 48th amongst the top 50 countries in the Global Innovation Index. It has jumped four places since the last ranking.

While according to Start-up Blink—a world renowned research center based on start-ups, India ranks 20th amongst top 100 countries in the Global Start-up Ecosystem Index in 2021. If we talk about cities, Delhi ranks 14th amongst the top 25 cities in the Global Start-up Index.

This economic upscale has been possible due to the innovative contribution of upcoming Entrepreneurs across the country. As of 2021, the government has successfully established innovation council in more than 2500 Universities.

If we talk about innovation cells, it is a recent initiative devised by the Ministry of Education to promote University students to encourage, inspire and nurture new ideas and bring them to reality. Such has been done in engineering colleges to welcome fresh ideas into the world of science.

ARIIA and Its Parameters

To ensure that India maintains/ retains this equilibrium, the Ministry of Education, Government of India has devised ‘Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements’ abbreviated as ARIIA. It is there to rank education universities/ private institutes based on below parameters.

1.  Student’s participation and contribution in entrepreneurship and innovation programs across the academic year.

2.  Besides entrepreneurship, ARIIA also scrutinizes the financial support that the colleges offer to students to build their start-ups in campus. It further observes the pre- incubation and incubation infrastructure. That is, the total funding provided to the successful start-ups in that financial year.

3.  Of course, students aren’t going to develop ideas out of nowhere. They need a base—a knowledgeable tool that sharpens their skills and creativity. ARIIA is determinable upon the courses on Entrepreneurship and Innovation provided by the institute during that academic year.

ITS Engineering College has been consistently working on the same protocols of ARIIA and has successfully achieved the ranking of Top 6-25 private institutes across India under B and A category, which was announced by the Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu. On top of that, it has been listed in the top 3 engineering colleges in Uttar Pradesh while it stands on number one spot in Greater Noida.

NASA Achievement of ITS Engineering College

ITS Engineering College, Greater Noida affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University is one of the most advanced engineering colleges in India. With accreditations by NAAC & NBA and approved by AICTE, this institute has a bag full of achievements to boost on. And talking about achievements, what could be a bigger achievement than getting invited by NASA itself to participate in its Human Rover Challenge in 2020?

What is the challenge?

Every year NASA conducts a Human Explorer Rover challenge to engage students worldwide towards the next phase of human space exploration. The NASA Human Rover Challenge is a competition among students of selected schools and colleges worldwide to create rovers capable of traveling simulated surface of other planets. Its annual event is a more complex follow-up to NASA’s Great Moonbuggy Race.

What are the challenges for ITS Engineering College?

The NASA Human Rover Challenge is held at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. The major challenge for the students of ITS Engineering College is to design, construct, and also test the mobility devices to perform swiftly in different environments.

The students planned the course and strategy, and after various discussions, it is decided that a team of five students from ITS Engineering College will be responsible for designing and building their rover. And of them, two students, a male and a female will be chosen as the drivers of the human-powered rover that will have to cross a half-mile obstacle course of simulated extraterrestrial terrain of craters, boulders, ridges, inclines, crevasses and depressions.

This challenge will provide the students with valuable experiences in the technologies and concepts of future exploration missions.

NASA’s goal regarding this challenge

NASA’s Great Moonbuggy Race has engaged more than 10,000 students during its 20 years long run. It has brought out the talents of budding engineers and scientists greatly and has demonstrated that they are capable of carrying out complex works.

Now NASA’s Human Exploration Rover Challenge is taking these experiences to a higher level. They are giving authentic engineering experience by letting the student teams design, build and also test technologies that enable rovers to perform swiftly in a variety of environments. It inspires the students to become the next engineers to design NASA’s next-generation space systems.

Details about the competition

The engineering challenges that the students will face are motivated by the assignments of mission objective tasks that simulate real-time obstacles faced by different space missions like the Apollo 14 surface mission. The team of students will have to make real-time decisions about the missions they attempt or leave based on their virtual eight-minute supply of oxygen.

The competition requires two students, a male and a female to drive their rover through a terrain of about 0.50 miles that will include a simulated field of asteroid debris, boulders of about 5 to 15 inches, an ancient stream bed with pebbles of about 6 inches deep, and erosion ruts and crevasses of different widths and depths. The terrain and time requirements make it more challenging as the rover’s compactness, lightweight, high performance and efficiency will be thoroughly noticed.

Even before entering the course, the rover entries will be tested to see if they would fit into the lander equipment bay. The dimensions are clear, the rovers must be a maximum of 5 feet long, 5 feet tall and 5 feet in volume. The teams earn points by designing a lightweight rover, successfully assembling the rover in the allotted time, performing tasks throughout the mission, successfully completing obstacles and also meeting the pre- and post-challenge requirements. Each team will be permitted two chances, the better score of the two will be taken as the final team score.

NASA’s ambitions with the Human Exploration Rover Challenge

NASA’s Human Exploration Rover Challenge aligns with Artemis mission to return to the moon by 2020 and explore it. The competition emphasizes particularly designing, constructing and testing technologies in unique environments. The designs made by the students will encourage the next generation of engineers and scientists and provide them with valuable experiences as they may someday plan future space missions and explorations to other planets.

Importance of this achievement to ITS

ITS is proud to be on NASA’s website as an invitee to NASA’s Human Exploration Challenge. ITS Engineering College, Greater Noida was established in 2006, and by 2020 it has been able to be one of the 3 colleges from India which have been invited by NASA for its Human Rover Challenge in 2020.

The strength of positive thinking

Positive thinking is so much powerful that it can change your daily routine and leads you to solve your problems easily.

Positive thinking is the key to success because it keeps you motivated and changes your attitude towards your problems occurring in life.

This thing might look funny to some people how thinking can change a person’s attitude and can change his or her point of view toward any problem.

As per your brain controls your thinking and reaction towards any problem or questions. So when you a positive mindset then your brain will be in controlled emotions and help you react softly and gently.

Things required to be a positive thinker

  • Don’t complain to others on any topic because it will make you hurt others on you and then your brain will try to cut the connection with others.
  • Be relax and have patience because being calm will help you to keep your anger in control and will never let you destroy your things in anger.
  • Make a list of your positive points and things which keep you in a happy mood so if anytime you feel sad or lonely just read those things.
  • Never lose your morale or try to keep your morale high as being a person without morale means no difference in humans or animals.
  • Try to be well wishes own your own and congrats yourself on your achievements never wait for others to come and congratulate yourself.
  • Be confident and should take your stand.
  • Believe in yourself and if you think you are right then you should decide without asking others.
  • If you will never try then you can’t even know your tendency or your limits that you can achieve.

Being a negative thinker you will have a fear that what if I can’t succeed or what if I fail even if you have a hard belief in yourself.

You will always be worried and afraid of taking a risk for the things in life and giving a new start to life.

You will never have control of emotions and on your thinking, you will get confused and ask for help from everyone.

Having positive thinking is good but you should not force yourself to have positive thinking for everything in life.

You should have fear, anger, and other emotions too because everything has their values and requirement in life.

The golden gift of monks “meditation”

We all have listened very much about meditation but today I m going to tell you the benefits and proper way of doing meditation.

Meditation is the basic exercise for the mind which helps our mind to lose all the anxiety, stress, and tensions and feel free.

Meditation is very much effective for people who always feel tensed, worried, or have headaches on regular basis due to some tension and all other reason.

Anyone of us can do meditation at any place as it doesn’t require any type of equipment or any special place to do it.

Meditation has been practicing for thousands of years ago by our saints and monks for a better understanding of life and for discovering mystical forces in the world.

But nowadays people do it for the relaxation of mind and giving some rest to the mind so it can be relaxed for some time as it never stopped working since birth.

During meditation, your body removes all the jumbled and extra thoughts that are coming into your mind and will give your mind a relaxed feel so you can focus on one thing.

And these free feel will not over by the end of your session it will last for 3 to 4 days after your session and will help you for a better focus and understanding.

Meditation helps us to overcome many diseases like High blood pressure,

Irritable bowel syndrome, Sleep problems, Tension headaches, Anxiety, Asthma, Cancer, Chronic pain, Depression, and Heart disease.

These are some of the tested diseases which can be cured or get some good results with the help of meditations.

Most of the scientist believes that we can not conclude the results of mediation as it helps us in too many things.

Points to keep in mind while doing yoga

You should have a focused vision while doing meditation.

You should have relaxed breathing which should be slowly inhaled and exhaled so the body will feel free.

You should sit in a comfortable position while doing meditation.

Try to get a quiet surrounding for the meditation for a better focus.

Try these things and never judge your skills too quickly as meditation is not an easy tactic for all. In starting it will take time to understand the basic and the correct but once you will get used to it then it will become easy for you to do it at any place.

The power of your tongue

The tongue has enough power that it can make or destroy the relations of humankind.

A person with a good tongue will be loved by everyone and a person with a harsh tongue will be hated by us.

So this is very important for all of us to elaborate our wordings in such a way that it will be loved by everyone, not they will start hating you because of your tongue.

If you are speaking the truth directly it may hurt others so this is very important for us to have control over our tongue or it will destroy all your relations.

Just imagine if you having a debate with anyone and you can’t control your tongue then you may utter some words that can hurt the others and it will lead to the destruction of the feeling in others heart for you.

Just remember one thing that your words can change the world for you and your whole life is controlled over your tongue.

Sometimes when you know each other but then also they get hurt by your words or jokes because the way you utter them is the biggest reason that how they will understand that.

Just imagine if you are the well-wisher for someone but you don’t know how to wrap up your words than it can leads by hurting them.

So this is very important for us to keep our tongue in control especially when you are angry or hurt.

You should listen more to other than you speak because if you will speak less than others will try to understand your point and it will create less chance to hurt them.

Just wait for the perfect time to speak because every word and expression has its own time to get uttered as it will create more values of your word.

Try to be soft even if you are angry because a soft voice can kill the anger of others and will give a new look to your conversation.

Try to do less gossip as this will make very much misunderstanding and misinterpretation of your words and the feeling with you want to say.

Never speak anything wrong and try to be clear and talk point to point without creating much gossip and spices to the talk.
